- as i stand in this room, i am instantly flooded with thousands of flashbacks of when the vietnam war broke out, but also the day it ended. my name is nyugen dang phat and i will always say that april 30th, 1975 is the happiest day of my life.
- my first memory of the war was when i was a young boy. i looked outside and all that surrounded me was destruction, and violence. i was scared for my own life as well as the lives of my family.
