Storyboard Text
- Ichabod Crane is the schoolmaster in Sleepy Hollow, a townbeset by supernatural occurrences. A local favorite is the story of theHeadless Horseman, the ghost of a Hessian mercenary who lost his head.
- He's never that far from the cemetery!
- Ichabod Crane wants to marry Katrina Van Tasel, theflirtatious daughter of a wealthy landowner, but he has another suitor, BromBones. After receiving Katrina's brushoff, Ichabod leaves a social gathering ina hectic state.
- After hearing many ghost stories at the party, Ichabodleaves home during the witchcraft hour. Over and over again he imagines a ghostor goblin in almost everything he sees. Finally he sees a huge helmet - theheadless horseman.
- The Headless Horseman matches Crane's rhythm and eventuallychases after him. Ichabod tries to spur the gunpowder, a borrowed horse, toreach the bridge quickly.

- Ichabod reaches the bridge and turns to see if his pursuerwill disappear. The headless horseman throws his "head" at Ichabod,who falls off his horse and passes out.
- The next morning, the townspeople find Crane's hat and hisfew belongings, as well as a squashed pumpkin, by the bridge.
