Typer av Figurativt Språk

Figurativt språk används i både litteratur och poesi för att skapa skikt av mening som läsaren åtnjuter genom sinnena, symboliken och ljudenheterna. Figurativt språk ger läsaren djupare in i arbetets tema, utan att författaren uttryckligen ska lägga fram temat för läsaren. Det är ett sätt för läsaren att skriva in orden med sina sinnen och känslor, snarare än att bara förstå en historia eller dikt. Figurativt språk uppmuntrar läsaren att koppla samman karaktärerna, handlingen och det djupare budskapet i ett arbete som skapar en mer minnesvärd upplevelse för läsaren.
