- The velocity is higher than the orbital velocity. The cannonball escapes Earth.
- NEWTON'S CANNONNewton's cannon was a thought experiment devised by Sir Isaac Newton. He imagined firing a cannonball at different speeds from velocities. Whether the cannonball stayed in orbit or not depends on the initial velocity.
