- Democritus is a greek philosopher who created an Atomic Theory wherein he believed that any piece of matter can be divided or can be partitioned into small parts.
- What a great question! according to Democritus matters are made of particles called "Atomos" which means "uncuttable" in greek. In present times we call it "Atoms"

- Additional info about Democritus, he believe that there are different types of atoms that have different size and shape. He also believed that everything is composed of "atoms", it is invisible and atoms lies between empty spaces.

- Why did he disagree?
- Because he believe that Atoms can not be divided and partitioned into small parts. But this idea was disregarded because of the new scientific findings that atoms can now be divided and partitioned into small parts in 20th Century.
- Around 1895, John Dalton explained and clarified that Atoms are a set of blocks that builds the matter. He also disagree to Democritus Atomic Theory.
