The 🏈 team in Washington, DC has long been referred to as the "Washington Redskins"
Naming a team "Redskins" is racist towards indigenous people, also known as Native Americans.
After 88 years of being referred to as the "Redskins", the team will officially become the "Bluestones" on August 8, 2020.
The color blue is associated with depth andstability. These are two traits that this team has!
