- At an Atheist Funeral there would be a noon religious reflection on death
- An Atheist Funeral
- AN EUOLOGY: A talk focussing on the achievements of the dead person, and the meaning of their life. May also be given to memorise and lighten the mood
- Most of Athiest Funerals have music playing maybe from a band of the dead persons favourite Artists
- Readings and sermon: a psalm from the Bible is read out. It is often Psalm 23, 'The Lord is my Shepherd'
- An Religous Funeral
- Prayers: prayers of thanksgiving, penitence and readiness for death are said.
- The committal: this is probably the most solemn moment of the service. At a burial, this is when the coffin is lowered into the grave. At a cremation, the curtains are closed around the coffin. "We therefore commit (his or her) body to the ground; earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust; in the sure and certain hope of the Resurrection to eternal life."
