- I care deeply for Poland, enough that I would try and spare you from being ruled by this tyrant of a man and because of this I had to commit crimes in order to ensure the safety and wellbeing of this country. I now understand that what I did was wrong, I shouldn’t have placed so much stock in predictions of the future. I now have come to a solution, that tomorrow Sigismund, my son, will come home without knowing that he is the prince and we will obey his wishes.
- …I ended up having a son with my beloved wife Clorilyn and during his birth he killed my wife, his mother. I saw this as a sign of course of things to come, it was as if the universe was sending me messages with his arrival that if Sigismund did become my successor he would only bring death and misfortune to those around him like his poor mother. He was born stillborn, and after this I constructed a tower on the mountain to hold him as he was only a beast in my eyes. I had Clotholt deal with him in that tower and made sure nobody else could see him.
- Through this course of action there are three possibilities, the first being that he turned out to be a kind, rational man and he will succeed me and become your king. Secondly, that I was right in my assumptions and he is a beast, a cruel and barbaric man and I will remain king and send him back to his prison. Thirdly, if the latter is correct then my nephew and niece will become my successors and will be queen and king unified through marriage.

- I appreciate your understanding everyone, please accompany my nephew and niece to their living quarters and tomorrow I promise you will see him.
