- Domingo de Ugrtechea sent Francisco de Castaneda to ordered the Texans to surrender a small cannon,but they refused and put up a flag with an image of the cannon and the words"Come and Take it"and attacked the Mexicans on the morning of Oct.2,1835,which was outnumbered by Texans and the Texans won against them.

- 59 delegates met at Washington-on-Brazos and set up a temporary government and elected a temporary president.They wrote a constitution and George Childress wrote the declaration of independence in less then 24 hours and all delegates signed it.

- On March 6,1836 in the morning,Santa Anna ordered his men to storm the walls of the Alamo and in 90 minutes,all 189 defenders of the Alamo were killed including William Travis,David Crockett,and James Bowie. All the defender's bodies were burned and Santa Anna spared all women,slave,and children.Mexican also lost between 600-1600 men.

- James Fannin and his troop lost at the Battle of Coleto Creek and they were captured as prisoners.When the mews reached Santa Anna,he was angry that the Texans were not executed on the spot.He ordered all Texan prisoners executed.On Palm Sunday March 27,1836,Fannin and his troop were marched onto an open prairie and executed.
- Santa Anna's arrival in Texas scared the Texans,they thought that if they are captured by Santa Anna,they would be executed.When the news of Alamo and Goliad reached the settlers,they fled their town in panic.Their goal was to cross the Sabine River and reach safety in the United States.The town of Gonzales and San Felipe were burned to the ground to prevent the Mexicans from getting supplies.Woman and children experienced terrible condition as they moved east and many of them died in the months followed.
- Sam Houston met Santa Anna's troop at the San Jacinto River and both set up camps there.On April 21,1836,both side were ready for battle and Houston sent deaf Smith to cut off the Vince's bridge(Mexican's escape route).Houston didn't attack in the morning ,he waited until mid-afternoon when the Mexicans rested.Texans began attacking at 4:30 pm and the words "Remember the Alamo!Remember Goliad!"became their battle cry. The battle was over in only 18 minutes and the Texans won.Santa Anna was found dressed as a common soldier and was brought to Sam Houston under a tree.
