the old methods when agriculture first started were not great
it's better now though, because they were bad for the environment
10,000 years ago Agriculture was invented because hunting wasn't enough food for the people in the Fertile Crescent, also known as the birthplace of agriculture, they needed more food, and faster ways to get it.
people in the Fertile Crescent realized farming could help earth support larger populations and it is now a main food source
people in modern day have built off what we already knew at the start of agriculture so we can have better techniques today and spot the flaws in the old ones. The slash and burn method was flawed so very little people still use it
