- More than 25% of the 15000 Indians died along the treacherous journey. Many fell ill (Like the female in the comic) Many family members or loved ones died along the road and once they arrived at where they settled. This is why it was given the name, the Trail of Tears.
- It was very very upsetting for families. They lost their homes and most of their belongings.
