- Landing on a new island, Odysseus and his crew look for resources, encountering the lotus eaters and their sweet plants. Three of his crew members eat the plants, causing them to endure a trance-like state where they refuse to leave,
- The Sirens
- Crew put beeswax in your ears to protect yourself from the sirens.!
- After finding a Cave where a cyclops lives, Odysseus stops go to explore and steal his resources. In this Journey, Odysseus loses 4 men, and the cyclops loses his eye. He is now cursed from here on out.
- Scylla and Charybdis
- Throw fish in the sea to distract them!
- After Odysseus leaves Aeolia with the gifts of all the winds from King Aeolus, he heads to Circe’s Island to head to Circe’s Hall to talk to Elpenor. In this journey, he loses none of his men, just a sheep he uses as a sacrifice. In order to ecape Circe, Odysseus and his men must give burnt flesh to the gods that live in the underworld.
- Cattle of the Sun God
- The Crew ties Odysseus to the mast of the ship because he is in a trance and Odysseus tells his men to put beeswax in his their ears to prevent them from being hypnotized by the Sirens.
- Odysseus and his crew went through rocks where two monsters were. They were attacked by Scylla and Charybdis. Odysseus then decided to throw fish into the sea to distract them. His plan worked and then he and his crew left safely.
- Odysseus’ men killed and ate the cattle of Helios, the sun god. This caused his men to encounter a whirlpool made by Zeus and Helios, killing all of Odysseus’ men. Odysseus escapes on a raft, traveling the sea.
