- The scene come to Viola, She was on the boat hoping for the safety of her brother. The captain mentioned that how Viola lucky survived.
- Act 1 Scene 3
- Why Olivia was so sad about her brother's death?Too much sadness is dangerous to health!
- The topic come to the duke who governs here - which is Orsino(the Duke) when Viola know that the duke who governs here is Orsino. She was very surprised. Then she mentioned that her father talk about him and at that time Orsino was not married. The captain told Viola that Orsino was still single and courting to Olivia but Olivia decide to not married another man after her brother's death.
- It's Orsino Madam.And I have heard that he has loving Olivia, a virtuous girl; her father was an earl and dead a year ago. Put her in the care of her brother, who died soon after.So she is very sad because her brother's death

- Viola and captain start to prepare their plans which is to send Viola to Orsino as an eunuch. to gain trust to be reused using her singing and dancing skills. After their plan is complete, Viola ask the captain to send her to Orsino, and promise not to reveal any thing.

- The scene come to Olivia's house, Olivia's uncle Toby was wondering about why Olivia was so sad about her brother's death, because for him care is a enemy to life. Then, his niece(Olivia)'s servant Maria pulled the topic to Toby's drunkenness, which made Olivia very objectionable. But Toby says he doesn't care.
