The dad kidnaps Max one night and they are on the run then Kevin finds Max and he shoots the dad with the water gun. Then they escape and the dad gets arrested again.
Kevin's birthday comes and he has a seizure and the Max goes and sees him in the hospital then the next day he dies and Max goes to the hospital and goes nuts.
Max is depressed and stays in the down under. Max then writes Freak The Mighty in the book Kevin gave him for Christmas.
