- Lucy has been working at this barn for 2 years too long. This job has never suited her, so she's finally quitting to find a new job for the summer. One she enjoys!
- This job is the worst. I need to look for a new one!!
- Lucy's first idea is the local candy store, Sweetie Smiles. She decides to head over to check it out. It's much better than her last job but she's told that this store has been running the same way it always has, like a traditional economy. She decides that this may not be as developed as she would like.
- Hmmm, this may be a little too outdated for me.
- The next place Lucy visits is the Daydream Diner. The first thing she notices is how little say the employees have in how they run the diner and are forced to do jobs that they shouldn't be required to do. Lucy had heard about places like this before with a Command economy. This was definitely not the fit for her.
- A little more freedom would be nice!
- The third place Lucy goes is the carnival down the road. The first thing she noticed was the freedom the employees had. It looked like everyone was having fun, including the workers. Except she noticed a flyer that said they were forced to shut down for the next two seasons. Mixed economies like this one had as much freedom as restrictions. So far this is her best option, but she was hoping to work year round.
- Almost. I think there could be somewhere even better.
- Lucys final stop was the movie theatre down the street. The employees have freedom and look happy working there. If they don't want to do something, they lose the opportunity for extra money, but the choice is theirs. In a Market Economy everything is controlled by an individual.
- Could this be the one?
- This is the best job ever!
- Lucy starting working at the theatre the next week and it was the perfect environment for her.
