- My name is Jordan. I am in 3rd grade. I am learning about what to do when friends ask me to do something that might not be right.
- Sometimes classmates ask me to do things that are not allowed in the classroom. They might say, “Come on, do it—it’s funny,” or “Everyone is doing it.” This is called peer pressure. Peer pressure means other kids try to make me do something, even if I do not want to do it or it is not a good idea.
- Slayt: 3
- I am allowed to say no. I can say, “No, thank you,” or “I don’t want to do that.” Saying no is okay. My voice matters. I can be polite and still keep myself safe.

- If I do the right thing, I can be proud of myself. Doing the right thing helps me feel safe and helps the classroom be a good place for everyone. My teacher might praise me, and I might get a class reward. That is a nice result, but the important part is keeping myself safe and calm.

- I can make a plan for what to do when someone asks me to do something I don’t want to do:
- I will stop and take a deep breath.I will decide if it is okay or not.If it is not okay, I will say, “No, thank you,” and walk away or ask for help.

- I can remember:Peer pressure is when friends try to make me do something.I can say no in a calm way.I can ask a trusted adult for help.Saying no and asking for help keeps me safe and helps the classroom.
- I am learning and practicing. It is okay to make mistakes while I learn. Each time I try, I get better at doing the right thing.
