We are called here to day regarding the Impeachment of William J. Clinton on charges of Perjury and Obstruction of Justice.

The Clinton-Lewinsky Affair was a political scandal that took place 1998. Clinton initially denied the affair and the White House staff supported his denial. This led to Clinton being put up for impeachment.
The final verdict: Article I Perjury; not guilty. 45 senators voted conviction, and 55 voted acquittal. Article II Obstruction of Justice not guilty. 50 senators conviction 50 voted for acquittal, not guilty by default. Final verdict, is ending in acquittal for William J. Clinton.

During the impeachment of Bill Clinton, a lot of Americans thought what he did was wrong, but didn't think it was serious enough to remove him from office. His approval ratings actually stayed high, and after he was found not guilty, most people were ready to move on and focus on bigger issues.

After the investigation and impeachment process, White House staff morale was low. Many felt exhausted and disappointed, especially with Clinton’s dishonesty. Although everyone was relieved that it was over, the staff faced an uncertain work environment going forward
