OH MY GOD!!! It's SO HOT! There's no water for miles! In fact, there seems to be nothing at all for miles! Oh wow it's hot. Why am I wearing a friggen hoodie?
Welcome to The Sahara Desert! You would be right about the water! It's is the largest hot desert in the world! It is very dry, hot, and sandy. It covers over 3 million square miles of Africa, 30% of it! While it is almost completely covered in sand and dunes, it does have several lakes, called the Lakes Of Ounianga. The Nile river also passes through it, the bodies of water supporting the life in the Sahara as well. And yeah the hoodie was a REALLY bad idea.

NOW WHERE ARE WE? HOW DID WE GET HERE? WHY AM I IN A TREE???
We're in the Savannah, of course! It is tree scattered, tropical grassland. It is home to many plants and animals, such as lions, giraffes, elephants, and zebras! The savanna has 2 seasons: rainy and dry. The rainy season is what would be considered their summer, allowing it to support said animals. The animals here also often become migrants, moving when the plants are more scarce during the dry season.
I also may or may not have a magic transportation device...

We're in the Tropical Rainforest, silly! It's located at the very center of Africa. Lots of Africa’s forests have been lost, but the remaining ones reside at the Congo River basin. Like lots of other rainforests, the ones in central Africa are being destoroyed due to deforstation. To fight this, some nations goverments have laws that protect them.
