Livvy: So this one is $750 with 50% off
So i don't know which one is cheaper.
and this one is $650 with 30% off.
First we will make the discount value into A fraction. Since % means 100 we will add the 100 in denominator. So it will be 50/100 and 30/100. then we will simplify It so 50/100 will become 1/2 and 30/100 will become 3/10.
Ok then what do we do.
First multiply the original price by the numerator, which is the top numeral of the fraction. 1/2 = 1 x 750 = 7503/10 = 3x 650 = 1950 then divide the answer by the denominator, which is the bottom numeral of the fraction.750 ÷ 2= 3751950 ÷ 10 = 195then subtract the original price with the answerso $750- 375 = $3751950- 195= $455
So which one do you think is cheaper, $375 one or $455 one.
The $375 one is the cheaper. which means I buy the one whose price is $750 with 50% off.
