- “Good morning!”
- “Good morning! We don’t want any adventures here! You might try over The Hill or across the Water!”
- “Good morning!”
- I am looking for help in an adventure!
- Bilbo Baggins was a tiny hobbit known for being polite, quick and quite. Here is Bilbo sitting outside his hobbit-hole after breakfast enjoying a smoke with his pipe. If only Bilbo knew how his day would take such a huge turn.
- “Yes you have! Twice now. My pardon. I give it to you. In fact I will go so far as to send you on this adventure . Very amusing for me, very good for you-and profitably too, very likely, if you ever get over it.”
- Next to Bilbo is a wizard named Gandalf, but Gandalf is not only here to chit-chat and blow smoke rings. He is here to propose and idea.
- Why?????
- So Gandalf proposed his idea to Bilbo and this what he said…..
- OH NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
- Good morning! We don’t want any adventures here, thank you! You might try over The Hill or across The Water!

- As Gandalf began to introduce himself properly to Bilbo, Bilbo slowly recognizes the old wizard, and goes on and on about the things he remembers about Gandalf. Then Gandalf said he would give Bilbo what he asked for. But Bilbo claimed he hadn’t asked for anything….
- That evening Bilbo sat down and wondered why he asked Gandalf for tea. Of course he was very unaware of the events that might happen the next day.
- He was so surprised when he came home and saw 13 different creatures only one of whom he knew who was Gandalf.
