Öykü Penceresi Metni

  • Prince! Tybalt has slain stout Mercutio!
  • One of Romeo's worst choices was killing Tybalt after the latter killed Mercutio. This shows to all that Romeo is quite hot-headed and emotionally charged.
  • However, if Romeo never killed Tybalt, but instead did the lawful thing and alert the Prince, Tybalt would have been arrested and Romeo would never have been banished.
  • *Gasp* Guards! Arresteth the murderer!
  • Despite how this action shows Romeo's hamartia, his propensity to overreact to emotional matters, if Romeo was never banished, and never bought the Apothecary's poison, he could have then simply run away with Juliet and escape their warring families.
  • A very poor choice of Romeo was his purchase of the Apothecary's poison, an action made mostly because Romeo did not know of Friar Lawrence's true plans and that Juliet was still alive.
  • And nobody has to drink poison or stab themselves in a grave!
  • Venice
  • Rather than conspire to meet each other from so far away, let us just run away to Venice!
  • Why couldn't they just die so I wouldn't have to travel all this way?
  • Insteadeth, if they successfully ran away together to Venice without having to conspire with Friar Lawrence, they could live happily ever after.
  • We can now buy a house right here and Venice, free from the torment of our warring families forever!
  • Welcometh to Venice
  • Epilogue: Romeo's most atrocious choice was his ingestion of poison, after prematurely thinking Juliet was dead. This shows how prone Romeo was to over-reacting and how quickly he jumped to grim conclusions! It also reaffirmed the knowledge that Romeo was a gullible imbecile.
  • For Saleth
  • NO! I am plaguethed!
