RISING ACTION
It is Rory Gilmore's first day at her new school, and her mother, Lorelai Gilmore, oversleeps because her fuzzy cat alarm clock didn't work. In a hurry, she has to throw on a tie-dyed pink shirt, jean shorts, and cowgirl boots because she didn't have time to pick up her clothes from the dry cleaners.
CLIMAX
Some people commented on Lorelai's interesting outfit. However, no one rattles her like her mother, Emily. When the Rory and Lorelai arrive at Headmaster Charelston's office, they are surprised to see Rory's grandmother waiting. Emily and Headmaster Charelston make interesting faces when they see the strange outfit.
FALLING ACTION
Three mean girls at Chilton saw Rory arrive and want to know more about her. Paris, the leader, got a hold of her files and saw that Rory would threaten her academic prowess at school. Rory now had enemies before her classes had begun.
RESOLUTION
When Rory was trying to get her new locker open, she accidentally bumped into Paris, who was on her way to class. However, when she bumped into her, Rory knocked over Paris' project. Paris saw this as an attack on her and felt that Rory intentionally tried to ruin her grade.
Lorelai and Rory both had tough days and couldn't wait to see each other. They know one another best and found comfort in being together.
Lorelai and Rory grab a cup of coffee and commiserate about their bad days.
