- The Romantic Novel Wuthering Heights was written by Emily Bronte in 1847.
- Awareness and acceptance of emotions
- Throughout the novel, the character´s emotions are highlighted and it makes you understand that they are not merely heroes or villains, but flawed people who hurt and were hurt. An example of this is the part of the book where Catherine days and Heathcliff says that she took a part of his soul with her.

- Bronte emphasices several times on Catherine´s beauty, and she put even more details during her fits of anger and acts of selfishness. In our opinion, we think this might be to reflect how beautiful she was outside didnt justify how ugly and selfish she was on the inside.

- Themes of Solitude
- Several times during the novel characters are isolated from their peers, let it be self inflicted or as a punishment. For example, Heathcliff locks himself up in his home and Catherine is left trapped in Edgar Linton´s house (with all her desires attended, she is still lonely). This would be the literal representation, but feeeling lonely is also a recurrent theme in the novel.
- These 2 topics are interlaced throughout the novel several times. When the weather is more stormy, the plot gets messier and when the things going on are good and on a happier tone, the weather is sunny; in other words, the weather and nature serve as a representation of what is happening with the characters. Bronte also masters the descriptions of her settings and their description serves as a reflection of the character itself. Heathcliff´s estate is messy and full of dust, showing his lack of care for material possesions.

- Death and Supernatural Events
- Supernatural events dont actually happen in the novel, but theyre referenced throughout. For example, during Lockwood´s first night in the house, he dreams about Catherine and even has a supernatural experience. Death is present too, since it serves as a driving point for the plot to keep moving forward.
