Extra-vehicular activities (EVAs) on the lunar surface resulted in the collection of 94 pounds of rocks and soil samples. Orbital science activities were carried out by Stuart Roosa, although he encountered difficulties with the camera. The mission concluded with a liftoff from the moon, rendezvous, and safe splashdown in the Pacific Ocean aboard the USS New Orleans.
