- EXPOSITION In the story the most dangerous game the characters Whitney , Rainsford , the crew , Zarrof and captain nelson taught me that they ( the characters ) are strong wise men and are not scared of a lot also are hardworking big game hunters bound to get a kill . The tone that was set from the jump and that i got from reading was major conflict as stated in the story “ through the soundless night Rainsford heard 3 gunshots off to the right “ making him get on his toes and to be ready for anything that comes his way
- RISING ACTION As rainsford is lunging for his pipe that was knocked out of his mouth he jumps upon a rail to get it seconds later he falls into the sea from the boat fighting against mother nature
- CLIMAX set a trap for his pursuers, Rainsford ties his knife to a bendable branch. He anchors it to the ground with a trip wire, and then Rainsford runs for his life. He thought of a native trick he had learned but instead he kills ivan (Zaroffs servant)
- FALLING ACTION After he ( rainsford ) jumps off the cliff hopefully being able to survive after the jump he makes it and swims back to the castle were zaroff stays he then walks into his room and zaroff is surprised to see him alive as he congratulates him " winning the game "
- RESOLUTION The outcome came to be in the end when rainsford tells zaroff “ he is a beast at bay “ stating he rainsford is now the hunter and Zaroff is now the prey wanting zaroff to be feared knowing that they is someone out there who wants to harm him
