In his story, Harrison Burgeron, Kurt Vonnegut shows what an exaggerated version of what people want to happen to society. Everyone is fighting for equality, but really they won't know when to stop. This story shows what happened when everyone took it too far. Nothing could be unfair, everyone had to be completely equal. This idea could ulitmately ruin society because we were all made to be different. In God's eyes we are all equal, but he created us so that we wouldn't all be the same. Vonnegut is pointing out that people can take ideas and notions too far and when they don't know when to stop, it can ruin everything.
