- The Salem which trails crisis began in the winter of 1691-1692, in Salem Village, Massachusetts when Samuel Parris daughter and niece felt strangely ill. Later three more girls showed the same symptoms.
- The pains it hurts so much.
- Several doctors began to suspect that witchcraft was responsible for their behavior. When they asked to name the name witches who are responsible for it which the girls named three women.
- I think I know three women who might have done this.
- I am suspecting that witchcraft is the reason for your weird behavior. Do you know any witches who tormented you.
- The three women who were accused of witchcraft where arrested one of them named Tituba confessed on being a witch and testifies that four women and a men are responsible for the girls illnesses.
- Are you Tituba a witch?
- I confess I am a witch and I know that four women and a man are causing the girls illness.
- The girls continued to accuse more people of witchcraft lead the accused to go to jail for the time being until the go to court. The accused were faced a difficult situation because if they confessed to witchcraft the could escape the death penalty but they would have to provide details of their crimes and the names of other participants. on the other hand, it would be very difficult to prove their innocence.
- I don't know what to do!
- The afflicted girls and women were kept in the court room as evidence while the accused were examined. If they claimed the accused witch was the one torturing them the judge would have believed her even if the accused witch did nothing wrong.
- The trail will begin shortly.
- Between June and October twenty people were convicted of witchcraft and got killed and more than a hundred witches remained in jail.
