Do not take expired medication. While medications such as Tylenol or other over the counter medications may not be harmful to take past expiration it will not have the same desired effect; therefore, it is best to just throw it out and buy a new medication.

This could truly be more harmful as it prevents physicians from performing tests and acquiring accurate results.
