Early morning.Nya stands in a small kitchen, still in pajamas, one hand holding a coffee that’s gone cold. Her child’s backpack sits on the floor. Dinner from last night was accidentally left out. Nya’s face looks tired but focused.

Later that day.Students talk over each other. A phone buzzes on a desk. Students aren't paying attention. Nya stands at the front with a stack of papers, trying to keep order. Her expression is controlled, but her eyes show exhaustion.
"'Mornin, class. Pull out your pens. Pop quiz today.'" pg.11
Slayt: 3
Teachers’ lounge.Nya and Dun sit across from each other at a small table. Papers are stacked messily in front of Nya. A single cigarette rests between her fingers, unlit. Her posture is tense, but Dun has a half-smile on his face, relaxed.
"'Got ten minutes before my next class. You sure you don't have a smoke? I really need it. Today. I need it today.'" pg. 26
"Dun reaches in his pocket and tosses her a pack. She takes out a cigarette and places the pack on the table." pg.26
