Öykü Penceresi Metni

  • Well, first, we need to start with understanding the 5 different types of sensors they use, then we'll get into the other fancy stuff!
  • Hey, Evan, I've been wondering every since I saw this autonomous car called the Nuro R2, what makes these cars able to be fully autonomous?
  • I see! There seems to be a LiDAR sensor on the top of that autonomous car!
  • First things first, let start with the LiDAR sensor. LiDAR stands for Light Detection and Ranging, and it is one of the most useful sensors to an autonomous car!
  • LiDAR sensors use infrared light to create a three-dimensional image of the environment. It works by sending out pulses of infrared light, and measuring the time it takes for the light to bounce off objects and return to the sensor.
  • Instead of light, RADAR uses radio waves. It can detect through fog, rain, and other low visibility conditions, of which LiDar can't. It makes it a more reliable system on bad weather days.
  • Woah! Gotta' be safe around these autonomous cars. Their RADARS can't detect us small things like stop signs and people. But anyways RADAR stands for Radio Detection and Ranging, and it's quite similar to LiDAR!
  • Hey! That autonomous car almost hit me! Doesn't it know that there's a stop sign and a pedestrian here!?
