You better make us laugh or I'll stop the gravity and you'll get flung up like a slingshot!
The 4 Forces
Today we are learning about the 4 forces!
Forces!GravityFrictionElasticMagnetism
Very smooth Mr. Jones!
Gravity
*Laughs*
I may be ugly but at least gravity is attracted to me.
Forces!GravityFrictionElasticMagnetism
It's a part of you Santa!
Elasticity
I don't know why my pants feel loose. Either I am losing weight or the elasticity is giving up.
*Laughs*
Forces!GravityFrictionElasticMagnetism
Oh, I see what you did there!
The kids are learning about the 4 forces. All of them affect the Earth in a different way.
Friction
I don't want to say any of my friction jokes because you wouldn't let them slide.
Forces!GravityFrictionElasticMagnetism
Gravity is the force that pulls matter together. It is what keeps us on the ground because we are being pulled to the center of the Earth.
Magnetism
Kinda harsh, but it's true.
Forces!GravityFrictionElasticMagnetism
Elasticity is the force of being tangible and stretchable. Things such as trampolines and rubber bands use this.
Conclusion
Forces!GravityFrictionElasticMagnetism
Friction is the force that moves the opposite direction to movement. There are 4 types of friction: sliding, fluid, rolling, and static friction. Each one occurs when we maneuver a type of way.
*Laughs*
Magnetism is the force that attracts or repels objects. If you put 2 sides of 2 magnets together, it will either repel or attract. It all depends on which side the magnet is facing.
You know that you guys are magnets? You are attracted to technology.
*Laughs*
The 4 forces are each essential to the world. Gravity keeps us from flinging away from Earth, elasticity measures how stretchable objects are, friction helps us move with out moving in the wrong direction, and magnetism helps attract and repel objects together.
