King Charles I rose to power and always needed money. Parliament deliced so he dissolved them! he eventually brought back Parliament and signed petition of right, then ignored it. He ended up dissolving Parliament again. Then civil war breaks out across English islands.

Republic form of government good! Theatre, sports and Christmas are sinful! Go to church!
Cromwell arrested and tried to put Charles on trial and ended up executing him. Cromwell quickly fell into power and established a republic form of government. banned "sinful" things like theatre, sports and Christmas.

no more military-like government! new guarantee of freedom passed!
I'm still the head in charge but Parliament has the most power!
The people got tired of the republic form/military government after cromwell's death. Charles II came into power and the important guarantee of freedom was passed, Habeas Corpus. Therefore the the first constitutional monarchy was made, where laws limited the king's power.The king remained head but Parliament had the most power.
