- Multiple intelligence refers to a theory describing the different ways one learns and acquires information . The theory was first proposed by Howard Gardner in 1938, in his book "Frames of mind.". The theory believes there are many ways to be smart since our intelligence is related to our interest and learning styles, not by our IQ. It is more than how much you know but how do you know that.
