We shall set free from the British.
The colonists decided that they wanted to break up with the British. Which led them into war! This was the beginning of the Revolutionary War.
The Battle of Bunker Hill was actually launched from Breed's Hill. Although the patriots lost, they proved they can take on the British redcoats.
The blue coats won! No more taxes from the British! Yahoo!
I never like the British but I never thought that we will not be control by them! This is amazing!
At the battle of Trenton, four soldiers were wounded. Also there were twenty Hessians killed and 100 wounded while 1,000 were captured. This advanced the Continental army to winning the Batlle of Princeton and eventually winning the war.
The British surrendered at Yorktown, Virginia, in 1781, the Americans had basically won their independence.
The colonists were happy that they weren't ruled by Great Britain.
The Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776 by Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and John Adams.
