Wow! this semester went by quick, and I have learned so much in this course. From not knowing too much on what anthropology is to learning different cultural practices and organizations is so cool. I feel like I understand more about people, and how certain thing influence others, and I actually can understand myself even more in a deeper level.

As we all know, in this world Culture is all around us. It's part of our routine when we don't even realize it. Whatever we learned and continued doing certain things in our life is part of influence and tradition. We learn everything from others, families, friends, and etc. One thing that I learned that sticked with me is Cultural Relativism. Which basically is opening your mind and understand cultures and to know the values and show respect to them. It's good for everyone to practice that and show that we shall all be there for one another even if we don't agree with certain values. Which also can clear up assumptions of certain people/cultures and avoiding stereotyping until you do your own research and observations.

From the knowledge I have gained from this course, I've definitely applied it to my internship I did over the last month. I've been going to a kid's therapy clinic, and while talking to the kids I made sure not to mention any holiday coming up because I have no prior knowledge of what they believe in. I make sure to conversate in a general and friendly matter to allow myself to get to know them without making any assumptions. In 5 years, I want to continue and spread cultural diversity and make sure everyone is included no matter what. I love helping people and reaching out so I would like to make an impact to the community and have the opportunity to share our stories and passions with an open mind. Again, we are all Human, and we should always have each other.
