Volodymyr Zelensky is Ukrainian actor and comedian who was elected president of Ukraine in 2019.
In 1997 his performance group, Kvartal 95 appeared in the televised finals of KVN (Klub vesyólykh i nakhódchivykh; “Club of the Funny and Inventive People”) until 2003.#160;
That year Zelensky cofounded Studio Kvartal 95, a production company that would become one of Ukraine’s most successful entertainment studios.
He won Ukraine's version of "Dancing With the Stars" in 2006. He took first place with dance partner Olena Shoptenko.
In 2015, Zelenskyy became the star of the television series Servant of the People, where he played the role of the president of Ukraine.#160;
In the series, Zelenskyy's character was a high-school history teacher in his 30s who won the presidential election after a viral video showed him ranting against government corruption in Ukraine.
In March 2018, members of Zelenskyy's production company Kvartal 95 registered a new political party called Servant of the People – the same name as the television program that Zelenskyy had starred in over the previous three years. Zelenskyy's presidential campaign was against Poroshenko.
On May 20, 2019, Zelensky was sworn in as president. On the morning of 24 February 2022 the Ukrainian-russian war was started. And until nowadays Volodymyr continue protection our country.
