- Arachne's father was a successful trades man that sole the deepest color of purple cloth
- Arachne always boasted of her marvelous weaving and Athena heard, she is the god of wisdom and crafts. She challenged Arachne into a weaving battle to see who is the best
- So....Arachne and Athena were weaving the best that they could, they both wanted to win the challenge to prove who is the best weaver
- Arachne's cloth was showing images of the gods doing something disrespectful and Athena's cloth showed all the great things that the gods are doing
- Athena noticed that Arachne's cloth was way better than hers, so she turned Arachne into a spider to show her anger.
- After Athena turned Arachne into a spider all the gods started making fun of her every time they see her
