  • Odysseus notes that this island belongs to fierce a god who cherishes his cattle and sheep. Odysseus tells his men to not eat the cattle for that have good bread and delicious wine supply on the boat
  • In the end, the ships supply was all gone. Hunger drove them to scour the wild shore with angling hooks, for fishes and sea fowl, whatever fell into there hands.
  • After seeing all his men angry and frustrated, Odysseus heads to a remote spot on the island to pray to the gods in solitude, for hope that one might show him a way of salvation. But Odysseus doesn’t get the response from any god for he only went to sleep.
  • One the men that goes by the name of Eurylochus made his insidious plan. He gives a speech that they should eat the cattle rather than dying of starvation. And to repay the gods by making them a temple and give them lots of sacrifices.
  • Lord Helios burst into angry speech. He tells father Zeus that odyssey’s men have killed his peaceful cattle, he begs of Zeus to “light the men of the over world” Zeus then throws down a white thunder bolt at there ship.
  • Odysseus then witnesses his men get bolted by the god Zeus and nothing remains.
