- Yes. In the Calvin Cycle there are three major steps. The first step, Co2 mixes with RuBp, Rubisco, and GA3P to form 3-PGA. In the second step, 3-PGA combines with ATP, and NADPH to form 12 high energy 3-carbon molecules in which 2 of the three form 6 GA3P. 1 of the GA3P breaks off to form glucose and the other 5 return to the start of the cycle in the third step of the Calvin Cycle.
- In Photosynthesis there are two processes that happen. The Calvin Cycle which happens in the stroma, and the light independent reaction which happens in the thylakoid membrane.
- 3 CO2 + 6 NADPH + 5 H2O + 9 ATP → glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate (G3P) + 2 H+ + 6 NADP+ + 9 ADP + 8 Pi

- With hydrogen ion movement, the inside of the thylakoid membrane fills with positively charged hydrogen ions which makes the outside negatively charged. Also lastly with ATP formation as the hydrogen ions pass through ATP synthase it converts ADP to ATP.
- In photosystem two, light is absorbed by chlorophyll or other pigments in photosystem 2 and the energy is transferred to electrons and to the electron support chain. In the Electron support chain high energy electrons move through the chain to photosystem 1. The molecules use energy from the electrons to transport hydrogen ions from the stroma to the inner thylakoid space.
- And then there is the second process in photosynthesis the light dependent reaction. In the light dependent reaction there are five major categories, There is the photosystem 2, the electron support chain, photosystem 1, the hydrogen ion movement, and ATP formation.
