This scene was the moment the north tower in NYC got hit by the first plane. The elevator Alia and Travis were in dropped down very fast. Alia and Travis were both suppose to be somewhere,but they also both changed their plans and met up starting as strangers to people trying to escape the north tower together.
This is the moment Jesse new she should have never yelled back to her father and stole his car to drive away. This is the moment the Adam made Jesse realize she has no where to go, no place to call home.
