- Ages ago when Fairtrade wasn't around the farmers in Africa and other places hardly got paid at all, though they worked their arms off.

- This cereal is so expensive but I buy it because its Fairtrade.
- What! That's highway robbery - £5 for 450g, mine's £3.50 for 450g.
- Today in supermarkets you can find the Fairtrade sign on products. They may be more expensive but they help farmers in countries far away.

- Ow, who would support that bunch of loonies. They get enough pay as it is.
- Some people don't support Fairtrade because they buy cheaper products.

- Yes, but explain it again?
- Have you ever heard of Fairtrade?
- People often forget about Fairtrade when they buy chocolate, coffee or bananas.
- Slayt: 5
- Well, its something that was set up so that everyone gets a fair amount of pay, eg. black people ages ago used to complain about it.
- Wow, interesting. "Learn something new every day" as they say.
- When you go to the shops just think about the people in those other countries and think of them being able to not even make a living off what they do.

- So to fully explain what Fairtrade is, its a foundation that was put in place so that farmers in other countries get enough pay to buy medicine and send their kids to school.
- So next time when you go to the shops look for that sign.

- I'm just supporting the farmers in different countries by buying products that give enough money for their living.
