- Physical / Character Traits: loving, quiet, worried, kind and considerate.How does this character change over time?In story 6 we don't see much of the grandmother however we can see that she tries to offer here advice an story however has her own life complications at the same time.What challenges does the character face?The grandmother mentions how her husband has small pox and she is sure that her and her children have it too. This challenges that character as this is a time of hardship.

- Physical / Character Traits:struggling, desperate, aloneHow does this character change over time?As time passes in the story Annie has more of a want and desire to die and get rid of the pain she is enduring so she is able to be with her husband and children where ever that is.What challenges does the character face?Annie faces a variety of struggles in her life from the beginning of the story when we are informed that due to the diseases in the village Annie has lost her husband and little ones this year.
