Sandra Day was born on March 26th 1930 in El Paso, Texas. She grew up on a farm, and had to move and live with her grandmother to attend school. After Sandra graduated highschool, she went to Standford University, and law school, Graduating towards the top of her class.

After school, Sandra got married to John O'connor, and had a hard time finding a job. After getting rejected tirelessly Sandra was soon hired in San Mateo, California with the county attorney, but only because she vowed to work without pay!

After being hired for free, sbe became known as someone who could work on all sides. Then she became a judge in 1974. After only 7 years, she was appointed a supreme court justice, the first woman, by president Ronald Reagan. Her work pays off.
