Elizabeth is pregnant
When Zechariah was in the Holy Place praying for the people, Angel Gabriel appeared to him and told him he would have a child, but Zechariah didn't believe him
Mary visits Elizabeth
What have I done so I can be visited by my God's mother?
Becauuse Zechariah didn't belive God's word, he was punished by not being able to speak and nobody knew why he wasn't talking.
Elizabeth gives birth
A little while later, Elizabeth, Zechariah's wife, ends up pregnant. Zechariah knew it would happen but he couldn't tell her beforehand.
Zechariah can speak again
HIS NAME IS JOHN!
Mary, Jesus's mom and Elizabeth's cousin, goes and visits Elizabeth and congratulates her on being pregnant but Elizabeth feels her baby jump and realizes Mary is the mother of her Savior.
Elizabeth gave birth to a baby boy that she named John like the Lord told her but everyone said that no one in her family was named John
When everybody at the house said that his name was Zechariah, his dad spoke up and was given speach back by God because he had faith again.
