- Athena visits her father to get his advice on how to lead her soccer team.
- You need to remind your team that the odyssey is more vital to their success than their prexisting skill.
- Athena came back to practice the next day with a new attitude. She was going to be hard on her team and build them into courageous people. Athena starts practice with passing drills. She explains the importance of team work and simple skills to the teams success.
- Everyone, find a partener and practice passing. Everytime you pass to them share a fact about yourself. You shyness is not allowed in soccer. You came here to play soccer so you must show your opponent that you are serious.
- Athena talks to Mila at the end of practice. Athena is happy that Mila decided to follow her father's legacy and play soccer, but she needs to be more courageous on the field. Mila shares that she does not have confidence in her soccer skills. She believes that she will never be able to live up to her father's legacy. Athena ensures Mila that she needs to be patient in order to see growth. She explains that her journey is more important than being a natural-born soccer player and she needs to work on being Mila instead of being Ottis. Athena was determined to guide Mila throughout her soccer Odyssey. She wanted to honor Ottis and guide Mila like she once guided him.
- Be bold and focus on growth, Mila.
- I don't think that soccer is for me.
- After Athena started implementing courage building drills into their practices, her team began to win games. In their third game Fred passed the ball to Mila and she made her first goal of the season!
- The game is tied and there are 10 seconds left in the last period when Mila scores the winning goal! At the beginning of the season, she would have been too scared to go near the ball, but Athena instilled the bravery in her that she needed to win the game for her team. Mila runs off the field to hug Athena, her second biggest inspiration after her dad. Athena ensures her that Ottis is proud.
- It's finally sectionals! Athena's coaching all comes done to this game. She has seen so much growth on the field. From making wise decisions to being more aggressive, to focusing on the goal.

- Finally, it was time for Athena's team to play at their first every state match. Athena reminded her team that the outcome of this game should not diminish their confidence. They reached their goal by growing enough to make it to state. Athena explained to them the importance of their odyssey. She challenged them to remember their progress from the beginning of the season to now. She explains that she always knew that they could make it here, she just needed them to believe it.
- Athena's team lost their game but they were not discourged. They were encouraged to work even harder next year!
