- To explain you why our skin is different, first you have to understand that this is because of a biological trait.

- A biological trait is a feature on an organism. This is the reason why all of us have different hair color, skin color, eye color, or even height
- These are features that have evolved because they had enhance and organism odds of surviving and passing on its genes. Also the people that live in places that are more exposed to the sun tend to have darker skin because dark skin helps protect the skin from the sun.

- our individual genetic inheritance determines the type of melanin inside our melanosomes. This is why light skin people have more reddish-yellow pheomelanin.
- In human skin is different, we have something in our skin called melanin. It sits inside the melanosomes, that are produced by cells called melanocytes.
