- Initially my understanding of anthropology was the study of archaeological findings. I thought it was mainly about reviewing and analyzing artifact remains that were found. I had a feeling the findings would relate to humanity and the culture of a group, but I didn’t realize how vague my comprehension was. There were many components I failed to recognize.

- This new insight into anthropology has allowed me to understand other terms that I wasn't as familiar with. Now I know that paleoanthropology is the study of human evolution from found fossils, ethnocentrism is using your own cultural biases to judge outside cultures, and holism is understanding human behavior by studying everyone’s way of life together.

- Through the material I leaned that Anthropology is divided into 4/5 subfields: archaeology, biological anthropology, linguistic anthropology, cultural anthropology, and sometimes applied anthropology. Understanding how each subgroup relates to humans has been intriguing.
- My perspective was altered after listening and reading about anthropology. Before beginning this class I thought it was going to be a class that wasn't interesting to me. To my surprise, I was fascinated and realized my interest in culture was more intense than I thought. I’m excited to learn more about anthropology.
