- Banquo has a dream about the three witches and his three prophecies. Macbeth is saying that he didn't think of them anymore. Even though he is trying to kill the king so his prophecies will become true.

- Macbeth is seeing a dagger that came out of nowhere.It foreshadows the death of King Duncan.And it also shows how he is going a little crazy
- Is this a dagger which I see before me,the handle toward my hand?Come,let me clutch thee(2.1.35.36)
- She doesn't want to get caught and she wonders if Macbeth killed the king or not.Lady Macbeth is displayed as evil and power hungry.It seems like the evilness is taking over because she is starting to be very cunning.

- Alack,I am afraid they have awaked,and 'tis not done
- Macbeth wonders if Lady Macbeth heard a noise to know that it was done.Macbeth doesn't leave the bloody dagger there and he brings them back into the room.Lady Macbeth said she would have did it if King Duncan did look like her father.

- Macbeth is already starting to feel guilty after committing a sin.He is is sorry for killing King Duncan in his sleep.Lady Macbeth shows no guilt after all of this.
