- For starters, mercantilism is a policy that promotes colonialism, imperialism and tariffs on goods
- Thats right mercantilism does promote all those things byut only on traded goods not the ideologies themselves.

- Plus, promoting these ideas does not mean that these ideas have to be enforced or even used.
- Mercantilism provides countries to maximize their profits while minimizing their costs with traded goods between countries.
- People over Money
- But what does money mean in comparison to people . Mercantilism puts money in the forefront of everything, that included peoples rights and wills.
- Without Money their is not Quality
- That is correct. But the effects mercantilism has on the limited few is very inconsequential compared to amount prosperity for a country it gives, including jobs and economic growth

- I see. Although I believe that people s rights are much more important then all the money in the world. I can see why you would believe so much in mercantilism. Why don't we continue our conversation after we order something for lunch.
