Partnerships have many advantages to them because partnerships are easy to form, have low start up costs, shared responsibility, and divided liability. Partners also have a better chance of obtaining the capital to fund their business and only get taxed once. A partnership can also serve as an opportunity to gain complementary skills.

- Although there are many advantages to partnerships, there are just as many disadvantages. In a general partnership the owners have unlimited liability, divided authority, divided profits and a limited life span. Sometimes it can be very hard to find the right business partner, and when you do find a business partner there is always the potential for disagreements amongst the parters.
- Ava, I can't stand working with you anymore I don't know why we decided to become business partners!!!

- Despite all the ups and downs that come with a partnership in monopolistic competition, Mia and Ava succeed by constantly improving their coffee shop. A partnership can exist in a monopolistic competitive industry because many small businesses sell similar but different products. Competition helps limit the pricing power, but being creative helps attract customers.
